With an invite to Dota 2 Tournament [$1 Million] being hosted by Valve at gamescom safely tucked inside their bags, Scythe.SG is all set to fly to Germany on August 15, 2011. While that is still a few days away, the competitive website GosuGamers caught up with the captain of the clan “hyhy” and he had some pretty interesting stuff to say about DotA 2.

hyhy stated that the preparations of Scythe.SG have been pretty difficult because the game is in it’s beta and there have been occasional crashes but his team have also faced some problems with system requirements.
“Basically we are just playing and adapting to the game, but it has been difficult as the game is still in beta and naturally unstable, with occasional crashes,” he said.
“Another problem for few of us is the system requirements for DotA 2, as we have teammates running on 1.0 ghz processors or something. We can’t play at all till they get an upgrade.”
He also hinted that he on a personal note is still trying to adapt to the game and is trying to get used to the newer visuals. Strategies and team play is something for the future he says.
“I’m still mistaking Shadowfiend for Doombringer, etc. Like i said, teamplay and strategies will come later.”
Hyhy feels that DotA 2 will crush it’s rivals in the market and that Valve will pull through one way or the other.
As for him, he wants to make a career out of DotA 2 and if that will not possible, then he kid that he will make one out of selling pirated copies of the game.
“Probably DotA 2, or I’ll make a career out of selling pirated DotA 2 copies.
Oh yeah when sniper assasinates, it plays the sound of the counterstrike AWP weapon being fired – which is why it’s my favorite hero now.”
